Come join us for a night of owl-tastic fun at Tomoka State Park in Ormond Beach, FL, USA. Get ready to explore the park with our expert guides as we search for these secretive creatures under the moonlit sky. This in-person event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages. Keep your flashlight handy and bring a sense of adventure! So mark your calendars and get ready for a hoot of a time at Owl Prowl! Proceeds support both Halifax River Audubon and Friends of Tomoka Basin State Parks.

Arrive at the park gate by 5:00PM for entry, then gather at the program building for a brief program about the owls we might meet as we wait for darkness to settle in. We will walk along uneven terrain, so wear proper footwear and be prepared for potential insects.

Event fee does not include park admission. Annual Florida State Park pass holders enter as usual.

Welcome - Program Building

Learn about owls and the species we can expect in Central Florida. We will review the protocol for an owl prowl and learn the calls and sounds we will be listening for through the evening.

6:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Explore the park - a night hike

We will explore several areas in the park in our pursuit of these elusive night creatures.
